Turkey Hunt" drawing during the OWMA Legislative Reception held on March 31st. Hoffmann Ranch of Love County, Oklahoma
hosted the hunt. Senator Rabon brought his two young sons along with him.

Turkey Hunt" drawing during the OWMA Legislative Reception held on March 30th. Hoffmann Ranch of Love County, Oklahoma

OWMA Member John Row was the winner of the elk hunt drawing this year! John joined the organization in
May 2011 and was entered for a chance to win the elk hunt on Stan Kimbell’s ranch. The hunt was conducted
on January 11-12, and John was able to harvest a cow elk taking home approximately 200lbs of meat. Retrieving
the animal took some extra effort because it traveled to the bottom of a steep ravine and had to be quartered and hauled out.
John brought his brother Jim along and they had a great time and were very enthusiastic about the hunt.
John said that “Stan Kimbell was an excellent host, and it was a fantastic hunt”. The OWMA
is extremely appreciative of the Kimbell’s generous donation in order to make this hunt happen.
